THE TRUNK, TREASURES OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS by Jean McClure
Sometimes I am certain that I must have been born with a book in one hand and pen in the other. I can’t possibly write about each book, song or Bible teaching that I come across. But there are some which just seem to resonate deep within and I feel compelled to share. I suppose it has to do with where God has me at that particular moment in time. He always knows what I need to hear, when I need to hear it.
Timing is everything. Receiving THE TRUNK as a gift when I did was no accident. I laughed. I cried. I commiserated. I even held my breath; waiting to find out how a family crisis would end. Jean’s down-to-earth, real life testimonies were timely, encouraging and inspiring. Her strong exhortation to hold on tight, never complain and trust God for each and every need was just what I needed to hear as we stepped out into new territory.
My, how the following quote hit home.
“But He had called me to be a soldier in His army, and I had been enjoying the ride rather than training for the battle. And a soft sissy has no place in His army.” Jean McClure (page 128)
Amen and Amen. Thank you, Jean, for that reminder.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)
